A new film from ken Loach - Watch the Trailer

Satellite Q&A

On the 17th March The Spirit of '45 showed at over 40 cinemas simultaneously, followed by a Q&A panel with director Ken Loach, contributor Dot Gibson, author Owen Jones and hosted by comedian Jeremy Hardy. The panel was beamed by satellite to all the participating cinemas live from the Ritzy cinema in Brixton, and audiences all over the country at sold out screenings were able to send in their questions to be asked in London via text or Twitter.

The questions flowed in, and the debate carried on well after the Q&A online on Facebook and Twitter. Catch up with the questions asked and some of the responses from the audience on our Storify round up, our highlights and a few photos are on the right.

If you missed out on the event then you can find your nearest screening of The Spirit of '45 here. If there is no event near you then campaign your local independent cinema to show it, or license your own screening via our PopupCinema website. The DVD, with over 7 hours of extras including extended and extra interviews with the contributors, can now be pre-ordered at DogwoofDVD.com.
